Eric supports governments, exporters, farmer organisations and agri-tech ventures on standards implementation, certification readiness and audit delivery across East, West and Southern Africa. His career spans the full compliance lifecycle — progressing from Inspector to Lead Auditor, Quality Management Representative, Technical Manager and Scheme Manager for an ISO/IEC 17065 accredited certification body — with technical grounding in GLOBALG.A.P., Rainforest Alliance, UTZ, TESCO Nurture, BRCGS, SMETA/Sedex, HACCP and EU Organic. He currently serves as a Voluntary Sustainability Standards Expert on an EU-funded programme with TradeMark Africa, and brings the practical perspective of a commercial farmer.

A Food Safety and Post-Harvest Horticulture Specialist with over 25 years across Sub-Saharan Africa, Europe and international development contexts — and currently a PhD researcher on digital post-harvest technologies in Kenya’s cabbage value chain, work that sits squarely at the meeting point of food safety systems and digital tooling. Ruth founded Africert Ltd, the first ISO 65-accredited certification body in East and Central Africa, and advises governments, development agencies, exporters and smallholder organisations on food safety system design and certification readiness. She has authored FSSC 22000 v6 documentation packages for export pack-houses supplying EU, UK and Middle East markets, developed the interpretation guideline for KS 1758 under the COLEACP-funded NExT Kenya Programme, and trained Ministry of Agriculture and Health inspectors in Mauritius on risk-based inspection under a WTO SPS/TBT quality infrastructure programme. She holds an MSc in Post-Harvest Horticulture from the Natural Resources Institute, University of Greenwich.

A Food Science Specialist and Registered Nutritionist with over eight years in food safety, quality assurance and sustainable agriculture. Careen designs and implements food safety and quality management systems aligned to ISO 22000, HACCP and FSSC 22000, and has guided clients through KEBS, BRCGS, OSH and Global & Local G.A.P. certification. Her background spans QA management at Tawi Fresh and Agri-tech Kenya, quality assurance leadership at Kwik Basket Solutions, and laboratory analysis at The D-Orbital Laboratory. She holds a BSc in Food Science and Nutrition from JKUAT and is completing an MSc in Agribusiness Management and Trade at Kenyatta University.

Mercy leads laboratory testing at Vittles Consult — overseeing drinking water, irrigation water and fresh produce sampling in line with HACCP, FSSC 22000, KS 1758 and GLOBALG.A.P. requirements, and conducting root cause analysis on non-compliant results. She previously served as Laboratory and Academy Manager at Control Union Certifications & Inspections Kenya, where she led the laboratory to ISO/IEC 17025:2017 KENAS accreditation for food microbiology and chemistry, and as External Quality Manager at Airsense Environmental Laboratory.
