Vittles Consult ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your personal data. This notice explains what we collect through this website, why we collect it, how we use it, and the rights you have over it. It is issued in line with the Data Protection Act, 2019 of Kenya and its supporting regulations.
Vittles Consult is a food and agribusiness consultancy headquartered in Nairobi, Kenya, providing standards compliance, certification support, training and related services. For the purposes of the Data Protection Act, we are the data controller for information collected through this website.

When you complete our contact form, we collect your first and last name, email address, telephone number and message content. If you contact us directly by email, phone or in person, we collect whatever information you choose to share with us.
When you download a free resource (such as our GLOBALG.A.P. IFA SMART v6 checklist) or sign up to "The Compliance Brief," we collect your email address through our newsletter platform, Beehiiv. We use it to deliver the resource you requested and to send periodic emails on standards changes, training and related updates. This processing is based on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time by using the unsubscribe link included in every email or by emailing us at info@vittlesconsult.co.ke.
If you consent to analytics cookies, we collect limited technical information through Google Analytics 4: pages viewed and time spent on the site, approximate location derived from a truncated IP address, device type, browser and operating system, and how you arrived at the site (for example, from a search engine or a link). IP anonymisation is enabled and we do not attempt to identify individual visitors. Declining analytics cookies prevents this collection.
Our hosting provider maintains standard server access logs for security and diagnostic purposes. These are generated automatically and are not used for marketing or profiling.
We collect personal data to respond to your inquiries, to deliver resources and communications you have opted into, to understand how the site is used so we can improve it, to maintain security, and to meet legal and tax obligations where an engagement proceeds. Where our processing relies on consent — such as newsletter emails or analytics cookies — you may withdraw that consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for automated decision-making or profiling.
We do not sell or trade personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us operate this website and our communications, and only to the extent necessary:
International transfers: Formspree, Beehiiv and Google process data on servers outside Kenya. We rely on these providers' contractual and technical safeguards, in line with Section 48 of Kenya's Data Protection Act, 2019.
This site uses encrypted HTTPS connections, and form submissions transmit over encrypted channels. Access to inquiry and subscriber records is restricted to personnel who need it. We do not operate a customer database on this website, and we do not process payments here.
We use two categories of cookies:
Strictly necessary — records your cookie preference in your browser, set by default.
Analytics — Google Analytics cookies that measure site usage, set only if you accept them.
We do not use advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not share data with advertising networks. You can withdraw cookie consent at any time by clearing site data in your browser settings.
Under Kenya's Data Protection Act, 2019, you have the right to be informed of how your data is used, to access the data we hold about you, to object to processing, to correct inaccurate information, to request deletion, to restrict processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, contact info@vittlesconsult.co.ke. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request. There is no charge for making one.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal data, please contact us first at info@vittlesconsult.co.ke. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with Kenya's Office of the Data Protection Commissioner (ODPC) via odpc.go.ke.
This site contains links to external websites and social media profiles. We are not responsible for their privacy practices, and we encourage you to review their own notices.
This website is intended for business audiences and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data relating to children. Please contact us if you believe a child has provided us with personal data.
We may update this notice to reflect changes in our practices or the law. The revision date appears at the top of this page, and we will highlight any material changes.
This update (10 September 2026) adds detail on data collected through newsletter and lead-magnet signups (Section 2.2) and adds Beehiiv as a listed service provider (Section 4).
